Sometimes called travel journals or road journals, travelogues are a record made by someone on a trip. Generally in diary form, a travelogue contains descriptions of the traveler's experiences, usually written during the course of the journey or shortly thereafter. Apart from being of general interest, travelogues may be of value to others planning a similar journey.
