The city of Milwaukee, the largest in the state of Wisconsin, is the county seat of Milwaukee County, but has portions of the city located in Washington and Waukesha Counties. It is situated on the banks of Lake Michigan. It was the location of the "Laverne and Shirley" show in the 1960s, and at that time was a major brewing location, hosting four of the nation's beer companies, Schlitz, Pabst, Miller, and Blatz for many years.
