Opened in 1926 as the Palace Theater, the current facade of this downtown Hillsboro, Texas theater was installed in 1936, when its name was changed to the Texas Theater. Converted to a twin theater, it has been closed since 2001, then damaged in a storm in 2006. Photographs are displayed, along with information about an effort to rebuilt the historical structure, and a small online shopping area sells theater memorabilia toward that effort.
