Rush Springs, Oklahoma is a small town in southwestern Grady County. The general area of the townsite was inhabited by the Wichita, who had a village near the springs on Rush Creek around 1850, and the Chisholm Trail passed east of the springs. A post office known as Parr, was established southeast of the current town in 1883, then relocated to Rush Springs when the railroad came through in 1892. Rush Springs was incorporated in 1898.
