Youngstown, Ohio, is the county seat of Mahoning County as well as Trumbull County 10 miles west of the Pennsylvania state line. It was named for an early settler John Young, who built the first saw mill in what is now Youngstown. It was the subject of Bruce Springsteen's song "Youngstown," which outlines the history of the area and the downfall of the steel industry and the economic havoc it caused.
