The southwestern Ohio city of Xenia is the seat of Greene County. Xenia was founded in 1803, at the time that Ohio was admitted into the Union, and incorporated in 1817, becoming a city in 1834. Its name was derived from the Greek word for “hospitality.” Xenia is bordered to the northeast by Wilberforce.
