Wyoming is a city in the Mill Creek Valley of Hamilton County, Ohio. In the 19th century, settlers began developing Springfield Pike through the area that would become Wyoming. With the completion of the Miami & Erie Canal in the late 1820s, the area was opened to growth and industry. In 1861, the settlement was named for a place in Pennsylvania that was called Wyoming, and the community became a village in 1874, growing to become a city in 1949.
