Laid out in 1850 by Robert Shaw and William Wheeler, West Lafayette is an incorporated village in Coshocton County. The community is located two miles south of the intersection of US Highway 36 and Ohio Route 93, and seven miles west of the intersection of Interstate 77 and US Highway 36. West Lafayette is east of Coshocton and west of Newcomerstown.
