A suburb of Cleveland, Valley View is a village in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Its name is derived from the Cuyahoga River Valley, and the village includes parts of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Ohio and Erie Canal. The Valley View Bridge crosses the Cuyahoga River in Valley View. The village was incorporated in 1919, when it separated from Independence, Ohio after a quarrel over the location of its schools.
