The incorporated village of Stryker is the oldest settlement in Williams County, Ohio. Organized in 1835 by James Guthrie, its first settler, the community was named for John Stryker, the founder of the Michigan Southern Railroad Company. Stryker was incorporated as a village in 1854. Stryker is east of Pulaski and east of Archbold.
