Pioneer is a village in Williams County, in northwestern Ohio. The area’s first settlers arrived in 1844, and the village was founded in 1849. In 1903, the Toledo and Western Railway came to Pioneer, but never went any further.

Owned and operated by the Erie Shores Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the 1,100 acre Boy Scout camp serves scouts from the tri-state area and beyond through the summer, and is available to scout and non-scout groups for camping, hiking, fishing, canoeing, rapelling, climbing, skiing, sledding and other activities throughout the rest of the year.
