Oak Harbor, Ohio is a village in Ottawa County. Originally known as Hartford, the community’s post office name was changed to Oak Harbor in 1845, due to a conflict with three other Ohio communities named Hartford, and its official name was changed in 1863. Oak Harbor incorporated as a village in 1871.
