North Royalton, Ohio is a city in Cuyahoga County. The community was founded in 1818, and originally named Royalton, after the Vermont hometown of Knight Sprague, and early settler. Its name was changed to North Royalton when it was incorporated as a village in 1927, and as a city in 1961. It is located fifteen miles south of downtown Cleveland.
