Initially part of the Connecticut Western Reserve, North Olmsted, Ohio is a city in Cuyahoga County. Charles Hyde Olmsted inherited the northern part of the township from his father, Aaron, and offered his father’s library of books to the community, then known as Lenox, if its name were to be changed to Olmsted. The northern part of the township later incorporated as North Olmsted, now bordered by Olmsted County to the south.
