North College Hill is in Hamilton County, in southeastern Ohio, about ten miles north of downtown Cincinnati, taking its name from its proximity to the Cincinnati neighborhood of College Hill, which borders it to the south. Settlement in the community began sometime after 1787, when John Cleves Symmes purchased a section of land between the Little Miami and Great Miami rivers, extending south to the Ohio River. North College Hill was incorporated as a village in 1916, and as a city in 1941.
