Mount Orab, Ohio is a village in Brown County. The area that was to become Mount Orab was part of the Virginia Military Survey, which was land granted to officers who served in the Revolutionary War from Virginia. Laid out by Daniel Keethler in 1850, the village was named for the Mount Horeb in the Bible.
