Maple Heights, Ohio is a city in Cuyahoga County, and a suburb of Cleveland. First settled by Benjamin Fitch in 1813, the community grew up along a section of the Ohio and Erie Canal, completed in 1827, then around the railroad, which came through in 1881. Maple Heights was incorporated as a village in 1915, becoming a city in 1932.
