Lowellville is a village in Mahoning County, in the Steel Valley area of northwestern Ohio, southeast of Youngstown. The community was built along the banks of the Mahoning River, and was centered on the Sharon Steel Works. Lowellville was settled as early as 1800, but the village was not incorporated until 1890.
