Johnstown is a village in Licking County, Ohio. The community was part of a four thousand acre estate deeded to John Brown, a Revolutionary War soldier, by President Adams for his service during the war. In 1810, Brown sold the property to Dr. Oliver Bigelow, who laid out and incorporated the village of Johnstown.
