The affluent community of Hudson is in northeastern Summit County, Ohio. Named for its founder, David Hudson, who came there from Goshen, Connecticut in 1799, the area was once part of the Connecticut Western Reserve. The Underground Railroad passed through Hudson, and the community was the childhood home of John Brown in the early 1800s.
