Greenwich is a village in southern Huron County, Ohio. The village was established as a part of the Firelands, a scenic community with several small town stores, that came about as a result of grants of land given after the Revolutionary War. The first settler in Greenwich Township was Henry Carpenter, who had come from Ulster County, New York in 1817. The village was incorporated in 1879.
