Located midway between Akron and Canton, Green is a city in Summit County, Ohio. Green Township was established in 1809, as part of Stark County, becoming part of Summit County in 1840. A three square-mile section in the center of the township became the Village of Green in 1988 and, in 1991, the village merged with the township, becoming a city in 1992. The city has no unique postal zip code, but is served by post offices in Akron, North Canton, Clinton and Uniontown.
