Fredericktown, Ohio is a village in Knox County. Its first white settler was John Kerr, who came to the area in 1807, buying the property, building a mill on the North Branch of the Kokosing River, and planning the town. Growth was slow until the railroad came through in 1853. The national FFA organization’s official dress jacket has its origins in Fredericktown when FFA members from the local chapter wore them to the national convention in 1933.
