Fairport Harbor is a village in Lake County, Ohio. Located at the mouth of the Grand River, Fairport Harbor is home to two lighthouses: the Fairport Harbor West Breakwater Light and the Grand River Light. The community was originally part of the Connecticut Western Reserve, and was known as Grandon until its incorporation in 1836, when it was changed to Fairport. With federal sponsorship, its port flourished, and its name was changed to Fairport Harbor.
