Conneaut is located in Ashtabula County, in the northeastern corner of Ohio, bounded on the north by Lake Erie, and on the east by the Pennsylvania line. Parts of the communities of Salem and Lakeville were combined to form the city of Conneaut in 1964, although locals often still refer to parts of Conneaut as Lakeville or Amboy.
