Brecksville, Ohio is in Cuyahoga County. The city was founded as part of the Western Reserve in 1811, a few years after Colonel John Breck, and some other men, purchased the surrounding area. Colonel Breck never lived in Brecksville, but his three sons did. Brecksville was incorporated as a village in 1921, and as a city in 1960.
