Bradford, Ohio is a village in Darke and Miami counties. The community was platted in 1865, and incorporated in 1871, at which time it was entirely within Darke County. By 1890, the majority of its population resided in Miami County, due primarily to the railroad. Before being named Bradford in 1868, the town was known as Richmond, Richmond Junction, and Union City Junction. Although it is generally known as Bradford, its official name is Bradford Village.
