Blue Ash, Ohio is an inner suburb of Cincinnati, on its south side, and a city in Hamilton County. Settled in 1791, the first settlers of the community constructed Carpenter’s Run Baptist Church out of blue ash, which gave the settlement its name. Blue Ash incorporated as a village in 1955 to prevent annexation of its airport by Cincinnati, and became a city in 1961.
