Amanda is a village in Fairfield County, Ohio. Amanda is primarily a farming community, although the village does have some industry. Its first settler is thought to have been Frederick Leathers, who kept one of the first taverns in the county. The tavern was sold to Isaac Griffith, who kept it for several years before it burned in 1858.
