Valley City, North Dakota is the county seat of Barnes County, and the twelfth largest city in North Dakota. The city is known for its many bridges over the Sheyenne River, including the Hi-Line Railroad Bridge, which was built between 1906 and 1908. Valley City is west of Tower City, along I-94.
