Eastover, North Carolina is in Cumberland County. The community was originally known as Mary’s Garden, and a post office was established under that name in 1853. Later, it became known as Flea Hill, allegedly for a flea-infested tavern that was located there. Flea Hill Township was renamed Eastover Township in 1865, and the town of Eastover was incorporated in 2007. Eastover is northeast of nearby Fayetteville.
