Chapel Hill is a town in Orange County, North Carolina. Durham, Raleigh and Chapel Hill make up the three corners of the Research Triangle, a research park between Durham and Raleigh. Its town center sits on top of a hill which once housed a small Anglican chapel. The town was founded in 1819 to serve the University of North Carolina, and grew up around it.
