Situated in Camden County, New Jersey, the borough of Woodlynne was formed from portions of Haddon Township in 1901. Woodlynne Amusement Park was in operation between 1895 and 1914, when it was destroyed by fire. The amusement park encompassed Woodlynne Lake, which is no longer in existence. Formed in 1896, the Camden and Suburban Railway Company established a housing development in a section of Woodlynne Amusement Park, which largely contributed to the community’s incorporation as a borough. Woodlynne is bordered by Collingswood Borough and the City of Camden.
