Named for James A. Bradley, the man who developed Bradley Beach and Asbury Park, Bradley Beach was incorporated in 1893. Prior to its separation, Bradley Beach was part of Ocean Township, then Neptune Township, and it was formerly known as Ocean Park. Bradley Beach is south of Ocean Grove and north of Neptune City.
