Bordered on the east by the Spring Mountains, and on the west by the California state line, Sandy Valley includes the five 19th century mining towns of Kingston, Mesquite, Platina, Ripley, and Sandy, Sky Ranch Estates Airport is located within the area that is part of Sandy Valley, not far from the state line.
