Situated in the desert, on the north end of Lake Mead, about sixty-five miles northeast of Las Vegas, Overton is an unincorporated town in Clark County, Nevada, originally settled in 1869. The town features a landscape of mesas and foothills, and is the settlement closest to Valley of Fire State Park.
