Lemmon Valley is suburb of Reno, and a census-designated community in Washoe County, Nevada. Before 2010, it was part of the Lemmon Valley-Golden Valley CDP. A large portion of its boundaries are within the Swan Lake Nature Study Area, while the inhabited portion of the community includes small and large residential lots, with some mixed-use projects with both residential and commercial uses. The region was the site of Stead Air Force Base, which was phased out in 1965, and it was named for the Fielding Lemmon family, who owned a ranch there in the mid-19th century, which served as an overnight stop for travelers.
