The unincorporated town of Indian Springs is in Clark County, Nevada. The area was settled in the early 1900s, and became a way station and watering place for the Las Vegas and Tonopah Railroad in 1906, which suspended operations in 1918. The George and Belle Latimer Ranch was in operation from 1906 to 2014, when it was closed in order to expand the security buffer around nearby Creech Air Force Base, which began as the Indian Springs Auxiliary Airfield, constructed one month after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.
