Named for Henry Lohman, the city of Lohman is in Cole County, in central Missouri. Lohman was founded in the early to mid 1800s, largely by German immigrants. The community is situated along Missouri Highway D, which goes through the center of town. Jefferson City is just over fifteen miles to the east and northeast, Russellville is six miles southwest, McGirk is fifteen miles northwest, and Centertown is eleven miles to the northwest of Lohman.
