The city of St. Augustine Beach is a city in St. Johns County in Florida. It was the site of the famed St. Augustine Monster, which washed up on the beach there in 1896. The monster appeared to be a giant octopus, but in later years, it has been suggested that it was actually the matrix of whale blubber from a sperm whale.
