Redding is the county seat of Shasta County, California. It is the state's largest city north of Sacramento and is snuggled into the Cascade foothills. Actor and Carmel-by-the-Sea mayor Clint Eastwood has a home there, and Kathleen Kennedy, who produced E.T and Jurassic Park, was raised there.
