Pismo Beach, a city in California’s San Luis Obispo County, became a household word when Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, did not take a left turn at Albuquerque in the movie “Ali Baba Bunny.” The word “pismo” means “tar” in the language of the Chumash Indians. It is known as the Clam Capital of the state and holds an annual clam festival.
