Ben Lomond, a small community in Santa Cruz County, California. In 1850, a Scotsman named Thomas Burns, settled in the area to grow grapes. He named his mountain after the historic mountain in Scotland. When the railroad came to the area in 1884m the area became a popular vacation place, and resort hotels were built to accommodate the tourists.
