The City of Agoura Hills, California straddles the border between Los Angeles County on the east, west and south, and Ventura County, to the north. Before the Spanish came in the late 1700s, the area was inhabited by Native Americans. The region was primarily ranch country until ranching gave way to subdivisions in the mid 1900s. Agoura Hills was incorporated in 1982.
