Formally known as Saint Christopher Island, St. Kitts is an island in the West Indies which, together with the neighboring island of Nevis, comprises the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. The west side of St. Kitts borders the Caribbean Sea, while the eastern coast faces the Atlantic Ocean. It is one of the Leeward Islands of the Lesser Antilles.
