The Free Trade Area of the Americas, FTAA, is the proposed agreement to eliminate all trade barriers among the nations within the Americas, excluding Cuba. It is meant to extend NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement. The last meeting was attended by trade ministers from 34 countries.
