Shania Twain was born Eilleen Edwards on August 28, 1965 in Windsor, Ontario. Her parents divorced two years later, and her month remarried a man named Jerry Twain, who adopted her and her sister. In 1987 her mother and stepfather died in a car accident, and she moved with her younger siblings to Huntsville, Ontario, where she raised them. She married in 1993 and had a son from that marriage, which ended in divorce in 2010. On New January 1, 2011, she married her current husband in Puerto Rico.
