Spencer Tracy (April 5, 1900 - June 10, 1967) was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the Navy at age 18 and was trained in Chicago, where he was at the time that World War I came to an end. He was married only once, to Louise Treadwell. He had a son who was born deaf and a daughter.
