Singer-songwriter James Taylor was born March 12, 1948 in Boston, Massachusetts. When he was three years old, they family moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina where his father took the position as a professor at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. James is multi-instrumental, and was addicted to heroin and methadone for more than two decades. He was married three times and has four children.
