Singer and actress Barbra Streisand was born with the given name of Barbara in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on April 24, 1942. She was raised in Orthodox Judaism. When she was 15 months old, her father died of complications from an epileptic seizure. She was married to actor Elliot Gould from 1963 until 1971, and they had a son, Jason Gould. She married actor James Brolin in 1998, and the remain married.
